Prof. Kesavan Veluthat

Prof. Kesavan Veluthat is currently a Visiting Professor at the Deparment of History, University of Hyderabad. He has retired from the Department of History, University of Delhi and had been teaching in the Mangalore University prior to joining the DU. Prof. Veluthat has contributed substantially to the debate of ‘early medieval in Indian history’ and produced cutting-edge re-searches in this regard from early South Indian context. He is author of a number of books, including, The early Medieval in South India (Oxford University Press, 2009), The Political Structure of Early Medieval South India (Orient Blackswan, 1993/2012) and The Brahmin Settlements in Kerala: Historical Studies (Cosmo Books, 20 13).
